1. Educational Background:
Candidates should be pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field. A strong academic background is essential for this role, as it requires a deep understanding of computer architecture, system software, and SoC design.
2. Technical Skills:
Applicants should have experience in programming languages such as C and C++. Experience in writing high-performance system and application software for Windows and/or Linux environments is essential. Familiarity with system architecture, system software development, and functional modeling will be a significant advantage.
3. Understanding of SoC Designs:
A solid understanding of System-on-Chip (SoC) designs and the ability to grasp the complexities of AMD’s next-generation products is important. Candidates who have previous exposure to architecture simulation and functional modeling will have an edge in this role.
4. Problem-solving Skills:
The role demands strong problem-solving skills. Applicants should be able to think critically and creatively to develop efficient solutions to complex problems. The ability to troubleshoot and debug issues is crucial, especially when working on pre-silicon development.
